About this tool
Most online birthday calculators do one thing — usually just exact age. This one does everything you might actually want from a DOB on a single page. The age engine uses true calendar arithmetic with month-by-month borrowing (correct for 28/29/30/31-day months and leap years), so the result matches government and legal calculations. Hours and minutes tick live every second.
Indian Rashi is a Sun-sign approximation in the Vedic / sidereal system. Western zodiac uses the tropical system anchored to the spring equinox. The two systems differ by roughly 24° due to precession of the equinoxes, which is why a March-born "Aries" in Western astrology often becomes "Meena (Pisces)" in Vedic. We show both clearly. The numerology life-path number is the standard Pythagorean reduction — sum the digits of your DOB until you reach 1-9 (master numbers 11 and 22 preserved).
All math runs locally — no DOB ever leaves your device. The page is fast, no signup, no tracking beyond standard server logs.
How to use it (5 steps)
- Enter your date of birth. Use the date picker. Add a time of birth for slightly more accurate boundary cases.
- See your exact age. Years, months, days, hours and minutes — live-updating to the second.
- Check what day you were born. Sunday through Saturday. Combined with the date, this is sometimes called your 'birth day of week'.
- Read your Rashi & zodiac. Indian Sun-sign Rashi and Western tropical zodiac, both shown side by side.
- See your life-path number. Numerology life-path is the sum of your DOB digits reduced to 1-9. Shown with a short trait blurb.
Frequently asked questions
+−What's the difference between Indian Rashi and Western zodiac?
Both divide the sky into 12 signs, but they use different reference points. Western zodiac is tropical, anchored to the spring equinox — so Aries always begins on March 21. Indian Rashi (Vedic / sidereal) is anchored to fixed stars, which has drifted ~24° from the tropical zodiac over millennia. Result: a Westerner born in early April who's 'Aries' in tropical is often 'Meena (Pisces)' in Vedic. We compute both — the Rashi we show is a Sun-sign approximation, not the deeper Moon-sign (Janma Rashi) which requires birth time.
+−How accurate is numerology?
Numerology is a belief system, not a measured science. The life-path number is computed deterministically by reducing your DOB digits to a single digit (1-9). Different schools use slightly different reduction rules; we use the most common Pythagorean method. Take it as an interesting framing exercise rather than a predictive tool.
+−Why does birthday timezone matter?
Date of birth is a date, but date depends on time zone. If you were born at 11:30 PM IST on March 21, your DOB is March 21 in India but March 21 (18:00 UTC) elsewhere — usually fine. Edge case: born just after midnight in one zone, you might shift a day in another. For Rashi/zodiac that lands close to a sign boundary, exact birth time and place matter. We use your local browser zone.
+−Is my DOB stored or sent anywhere?
No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or stored on our side. You can refresh the page and the field clears.
+−What's the life-path number?
In numerology, the life-path number is computed by adding up every digit of your full DOB and reducing the sum to a single digit (1-9), with 11 and 22 sometimes preserved as 'master numbers'. Each number 1-9 is associated with traits: 1 = leadership, 7 = analytical, 9 = humanitarian, etc. Treat it as a starting point for self-reflection, not a forecast.
+−Why so many calculations on one page?
Birthday and age questions cluster — people who want exact age usually also want their zodiac, day of week born, days to next birthday and so on. Putting it all on one page saves tab-hopping. Everything is computed instantly from a single DOB input.
